How often do you visit the zoo? Usually we will walk around, looking at the animals around the zoo. Imagine looking at the animals from the other side of the cage. Excited...!! Had this opportunity to visit Zoo Negara from a different prospective, as a volunteer..!
It was a project by Rotaract Club of Ampang where they brought the rotaractors from Hong Kong to have a mind blowing experience during their visit here in Malaysia. We gathered at Zoo Negara as early as 8am.
After having our breakfast there, the work begins.
We broke up into different groups as we will be place in different sections across the zoo. And guess what I'd got, Ape Center..
We helped to clean the area a bit and helped preparing food for the apes. We got to know a lot about the apes, the zoo keepers are very friendly and they will keep feeding you information about the animals.
This was an fun and educational experience. How often do you get to be inside the cage with the animals in the zoo?? Would definitely doing it again. But please don't put me with the reptiles. Snakes.....!! ><''
